Bambu Lab AMS 2 Pro: free replacement feeders for units built May to July 2026
A batch of AMS 2 Pro feeder units lacks grease, so the gears wear faster. Bambu Lab is sending four new feeders free of charge plus a discount code.
If you own a Bambu Lab AMS 2 Pro, check your messages in MakerWorld and Bambu Handy. On 27 October 2026, Bambu Lab published a service notice in its official forum: a batch of feeder units, the parts that drive the filament, did not get enough grease during production. As a result, the gears wear out faster than intended.
Which units are affected
The notice covers feeder units produced between May and July 2026. According to Bambu Lab, units currently sold in its official stores are not affected. The notice does not mention any restriction to particular countries.
Bambu Lab says it has contacted all owners in the batch via MakerWorld and Bambu Handy. If you have not received a message, the linked page in the Bambu Lab Wiki lets you check whether your unit is included.
What affected owners receive
- Four new feeder units, free of charge including shipping. They ship in batches over the next 3 to 5 weeks.
- A discount code worth 20 US dollars for a future Bambu Lab purchase, converted into local currency.
- A three-month warranty on the new feeders from the day they arrive. According to Bambu Lab, replacing the feeders yourself does not void the warranty on the rest of the AMS.
Until the replacements arrive, you can keep printing as long as the old feeders work. Bambu Lab recommends checking the wear when the parts arrive and swapping them then.
