xTool C1: craft cutter with scanner and colour printing, reservations open
The xTool C1 scans, prints in CMYK and cuts in one machine. Launch price in Germany €519, €449 with an Atomm membership, reservations for €10.
xTool is entering the craft cutter market with the C1 Color Cutter. xTool announced the machine on 20 October 2026, and it can be reserved with a small deposit since then.
Printing and cutting in one machine
The C1 combines a CMYK inkjet printer, a built-in scanner and a cutting blade. According to xTool, it prints the design directly onto the material and cuts it out in the same workflow. No registration marks around the edge are needed, which leaves more printable area.
For printing, xTool uses its own Duraproof ink. It is said to be waterproof and fade-resistant and to withstand up to 30 home washes on fabric.
The scanner is a CIS sensor. It captures the material on the cutting mat and shows it in the software at 1:1 scale, so designs can be placed on offcuts. It also detects contours, nests parts automatically and reads QR codes on xTool materials to load the matching settings.
Tools, materials and software
According to the press release, the C1 takes fine-point, deep-point, rotary and 3 mm blades, plus foil transfer tips and fine-line pens. With the optional electrostatic mat or the roll holder with built-in trimmer, it handles paper, cardstock, vinyl, HTV, leather, balsa wood and fabrics.
Designs are created in xTool’s Atomm software. It is meant to turn text or images into cut-ready vectors, remove backgrounds, convert images into line art and provide templates for 3D papercraft.

In the US, the C1 starts at $469 according to xTool, with several bundles.
