Warhammer Day: Skaven game Deathmaster, Battlesector update and sales

Saturday 31 October is Warhammer Day. Ahead of it, Games Workshop published a round-up of news on licensed video games and merchandise on 29 October. The key points for players:

Newly announced: Deathmaster

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster is a new game with a story trailer. It is a stealth platformer in which you play Vinheek, a Skaven assassin from Clan Skrell. It is due in 2027 for PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. There is no exact date or price yet.

Dates and updates

• Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector turns five. A free Warhammer Day update adds a new map, extra gameplay options and a major unit rebalance. The game is also now part of Xbox Play Anywhere.
• The Battlesector expansion Courage and Catastrophe arrives on 14 December with a 13-mission campaign and three new units.
• Warhammer Survivors launches on 10 November.
• Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is already out, and the Nintendo Switch 2 version follows on 19 November.
• In Warhammer Combat Cards, the code WARHAMMERDAY gives free cards and in-game currency, redeemable until 29 November 2026.

Discounts until early November

Several stores have reduced Warhammer games, including Steam with older classics such as Final Liberation and Shadow of the Horned Rat. According to Games Workshop, the offers at GOG and Gamesplanet run until 2 November, and at Fanatical, GamersGate and Green Man Gaming until 1 November.
