Revopoint RANGE 3 and RANGE 3 Pro: 3D scanners for large objects from €369

Revopoint launches the RANGE 3 for large objects, with an infrared laser on the Pro. From €369 in the EU shop, 5 % off as a pre-order, shipping from 11 January.

On 22 October 2026, Revopoint unveiled the RANGE 3 series. The two handheld scanners, RANGE 3 and RANGE 3 Pro, are designed for medium to large objects such as whole people, car parts or components for reverse engineering. Both are now available to pre-order.

What both can do

According to the data sheet, the scanners weigh 218 and 220 grams. At a distance of one metre, they cover an area of up to 687 x 672 mm, and they scan objects from 20 mm to 4 m. They work with infrared structured light (VCSEL) at up to 30 frames per second, and Revopoint quotes a volumetric accuracy of 0.05 mm plus 1 mm per metre.

An RGB camera with colour and depth fill lights also captures colour and texture. Colour also helps align the scans, which is useful for objects with little shape but plenty of pattern. According to Revopoint, the scanners work in up to 100,000 lux without a filter attachment, so outdoors too. Both work wirelessly over Wi-Fi 6.

What the Pro adds

The RANGE 3 Pro also has an infrared laser with 11 parallel lines for finer detail. In this mode, Revopoint quotes 0.03 mm plus 0.2 mm per metre and up to 105 frames per second with an NVIDIA graphics card. If the object has enough shape, texture or colour, the laser mode scans without marker points. A charging handle and a magnetic phone holder come with the Pro, and they are available as accessories for the RANGE 3.

Prices and shipping

In Revopoint’s EU shop, the RANGE 3 costs €369 and the RANGE 3 Pro €455 at full price (as of 29 October 2026). During the pre-order period there is 5 % off, which makes €351 and €432. In the US, they cost $369 and $459. According to the shop, pre-orders ship from 11 January.

MIRACO 2 is coming to Kickstarter

Revopoint is also announcing the MIRACO 2, a standalone scanner with several laser and infrared modes. It is set to launch on Kickstarter. Revopoint quotes up to 0.02 mm plus 0.05 mm per metre in multi-line laser mode. Price and campaign start date: not stated by the manufacturer.

What matters when buying a 3D scanner is covered in the buying guide in the Maker Wiki.
