Prusa HT Hotend: 400 °C for the CORE One, plus PPS and PPA in the shop
Prusa’s HT Hotend takes the CORE One to 400 °C nozzle temperature. It comes with HighTemp print sheets and new filaments such as PPS-CF, PPS-GF and PPA-CF Core.
On 21 October 2026, Prusa released the HT Hotend. It heats up to 400 °C, letting the CORE One print high-temperature filaments that would otherwise need an industrial printer. According to Prusa, it can be swapped for another hotend in less than a minute.
Which printers
The HT Hotend is available as an upgrade kit or factory-fitted in a new CORE One L+. According to the shop page, it fits the CORE One, CORE One+, CORE One+ (Gen 2), CORE One L and CORE One L+. It is not compatible with INDX. The kit contains the hotend with a hardened 0.4 mm ObXidian 500 nozzle, two idlers (one for standard and one for high-temperature filaments), a new main plate made from PC Blend Carbon Fiber, gloves and a printed manual.
What 400 °C brings
Prusa names two benefits. Familiar filaments bond better between layers above 300 °C. Prusa measured 23 % more layer adhesion with PA11 Carbon Fiber, 18 % with ASA and 7 % each with PC Blend and PC Blend Carbon Fiber. It also makes high-performance plastics such as PPS-CF, PPS-GF and PPA-CF Core printable.
The limit is the chamber: the CORE One reaches at most 60 °C chamber temperature. The nozzle can handle materials such as PEKK-A CF, but they need a hotter environment. According to Prusa, only small parts are possible.
Print sheets, filaments and filtration
New for the CORE One+ and L+ is a HighTemp print sheet for PEI, PEEK, PEKK, PPSU and PPS. According to Prusa, it is not needed for standard materials such as PC Blend Carbon Fiber, which actually adhere poorly to it. New in the shop are Fibreheart PPA-CF Core from Siraya Tech and PPS-CF10 and PPS-GF20 from Fiberon. Because most high-temperature materials give off harmful fumes, Prusa recommends filtration, for example the Advanced Filtration System Upgrade or an exhaust connection.
Price
The Prusa shop lists the upgrade at $199.99. We could not read a euro price there, and the blog post does not give one. The printers themselves are in the Maker Wiki: CORE One+ and CORE One L+.
