Flashforge CJ270: full-colour desktop 3D printer with inkjet technology, €3,999
The CJ270 jets UV-curing resin in CMYK, white and clear like an inkjet printer and prints parts in over 10 million colours. Also aimed at miniatures.
Full-colour 3D printing has so far been the preserve of expensive industrial machines. With the CJ270, Flashforge brings one to the desktop. It was unveiled in September 2026, and according to Flashforge the first 100 units shipped by air from 15 October. Flashforge explicitly also markets it for painted tabletop miniatures, which makes it a “Maker meets Hobby” topic.
How the CJ270 works
Instead of melting filament or exposing a resin vat, the CJ270 works like a 3D inkjet printer: seven printheads jet fine droplets of UV-curing resin onto the platform. The software mixes cyan, magenta, yellow, black, white and clear in every layer, plus water-soluble support material. A roller levels each layer before UV light cures it. Flashforge calls this MJP (Multi Jet Printing).
- Colours: over 10 million combinations
- Layer thickness: from 7 µm
- Build volume: 180 x 120 x 100 mm
- Supports: water-soluble, rinse instead of sanding
- Weight: 33.5 kg
Price
In the EU shop, the CJ270 currently costs €3,999 instead of €4,499. The shop does not say whether VAT is included. A starter package with a sample print and 2 kg of resin costs an extra €99. All specifications are in the data sheet in the Maker Wiki.
