Anycubic and Thingiverse: multicolour models on MakerOnline from 17 November
Anycubic has an exclusive partnership with Thingiverse. From 17 November, MakerOnline will offer selected Thingiverse models as multicolour 3MF for Anycubic printers.
Anycubic and Thingiverse have entered an exclusive partnership, Anycubic announced on 23 October 2026. On 17 November, a dedicated section with Thingiverse models launches on Anycubic’s model platform MakerOnline. Thingiverse is one of the oldest libraries of 3D printing models, with more than 2 million files according to Anycubic.
What it means
Anycubic plans to prepare selected Thingiverse models for multicolour printing and convert them from STL to 3MF, so they can be printed in colour directly on compatible Anycubic printers. Anycubic does not say which printers these are. Tom’s Hardware gives the Kobra X multicolour printer as an example.
According to Tom’s Hardware, designers have to opt in before their models are prepared, and the models’ licences are retained. Anycubic does not say how many models will be available at launch.
For comparison, Bambu Lab runs its own platform, MakerWorld, where many models are already available as multicolour 3MF for its printers. Thingiverse is now part of MyMiniFactory.
