Sculpfun: compact C2 diode laser from €159 and first laser welder Relilaser
Sculpfun launches the compact C2 with 7 or 14 W over 300 x 300 mm and, with the Relilaser, its first handheld unit for laser welding, cutting and cleaning from €3,649.
In October, Sculpfun added two new machines to its German shop that could hardly be more different: a small entry-level laser and, with the Relilaser, the company’s first laser welder.
Sculpfun C2: compact diode laser
The C2 is an open 455 nm diode laser with a 300 x 300 mm working area, available with 7 or 14 W.
- One-pass cutting according to Sculpfun: 5 mm plywood and 3 mm black acrylic (7 W), 8 mm plywood and 5 mm black acrylic (14 W)
- Speed: up to 20,000 mm/min

In the German shop, the C2 starts at €159 instead of €219. An enclosure is available as an accessory. As with any open laser: only with suitable safety glasses and never unattended.
Sculpfun Relilaser: welding, cutting and cleaning
The Relilaser is a handheld unit for metal that Sculpfun explicitly also offers to hobbyists. It welds, cuts metal up to 3 mm and cleans surfaces.
- R900: up to 950 W, welds stainless and carbon steel up to 4 mm
- R1300: up to 1,350 W, welds stainless and carbon steel up to 6 mm
- Operation: 108 presets or manual expert mode
- Safety: laser class 4 with safety key, emergency stop and interlock; certified laser safety goggles are mandatory. According to the FAQ, the unit needs its own 32 A circuit.
