Analogue Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+: FPGA consoles for SNES and Mega Drive cartridges with wireless controllers

Analogue is reissuing its retro consoles with Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz, USB-C and hot-swappable cartridges. $219.99 each, shipping in December.

Analogue is bringing back two of its retro consoles: the Super Nt+ for Super Nintendo and Super Famicom cartridges, and the Mega Sg+ for Mega Drive and Genesis, which with the included adapter also plays Master System games. Neither uses emulation; instead, an FPGA chip recreates the original hardware. They were announced on 16 October 2026, and pre-orders have been open since 19 October. Analogue discontinued the predecessors in 2022.

What is new

  • Wireless controllers: built-in Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz, up to two controllers, including 8BitDo models. Wired controllers still work.
  • USB-C: powered via USB-C, with power supply and cable included. A USB-A port is for accessories and charging controllers.
  • Hot-swappable cartridges: quit the game from the menu and swap cartridges without switching the console off.
  • Region free: cartridges run in either NTSC or PAL.
  • A new case, a new operating system and, according to Analogue, an FPGA implementation built from scratch.

Price and shipping

Each console costs $219.99. The Super Nt+ comes in Classic, SF and Black, the Mega Sg+ in USA, EU and JP versions with a Master System cartridge adapter in the box. According to Analogue, shipping starts in December 2026. The shop currently lists both as sold out. Analogue gives no euro price; the shop sells in US dollars.
